A walk to wine, in Vila do Conde, Portugal

Time to reshape my world. With Covid on the wane, it is time for me to look at the weather vane; to set course for renewed travels.

Yet I find myself, with less strength and less flexibility as I come out of hibernation. To get my body back into travel shapes I joined Pedro Rei Lima, Manuel Pedro Quintas and Ana Paula Andre, for an expeditionary 13.2 km, hike along the Rio Ave, in Vilo Do Conde, Portugal.

With the car not operative, Ana and I started the hike 3 km early, joining up with the leaders, at the north edge of the Ponte Sobre O Rio Ave. While the leaders, lead we followers did our best to tail behind, as we photoed and the leaders, checked maps and with locals, as we wound our way long the river, through trees and villages. Ending at Ponte D. Zameiro built in 1185.

When the walk was ended, we shared in Drink and chat, as I nursed only one slightly pulled muscle, and return transportation was provided by Marisa Bouça de Morais
