Sea action

March 11, 2018 · Cascais, Portugal

Beach goers exit the throat of a tunnel, as the surf gobbles up all that it can. The seas are known to swallow ships and most things that come into its surf, even the Sun is taken before the edge of night and the rising of the Moon. Ships which are normally eaten by the sea like hotdogs at a sporting match, this day are not. Instead a cruise ship is inhaled by a fortress, that is engaged in a relentless battle with the sea. But the sea does not always succeed on this day, I capture the sea from the edge of its surf and escapes its reach, the does not capture me. A dogs paws do not touch the sand to stay above the waters reach. Some surfers are swallowed like small boats, and others like Jan Cohnert avoid being swallowed by the entless surf to surf another wave and many other days.
