Farm feast on the night of the Full Moon. With Nambian friends I enjoy a night between Full Moonrise and Set, with a good ol’ farm meal with their family of female farmers.
The cousins go to the Market Hoadad (which is Damaran word for Everyone) and get the last items needed for making the farm feast.
Making bread the old fashion way in pot and on grill, and cooking chicken, pork and sausage. A wonderful taste, like I have never had, as the local wood was used to flavor the meat.
Family enjoy each other, and finally fall asleep as some of the others talk into the night with the warmth of fire and ember.
The Full moon above soon will be going to rest as the Sun returns to brighten the day.
