A stormy return

A stormy return: I was looking forward to some rest and relaxation from my trip abroad, but that has not been the case.

I arrived on Friday evening, it was peaceful enough. But then came Saturday when on the way to the Drive-in a dust storm was on the horizon. I had to get my scared minions into order.

On Sunday evening it was shocking as an electrical storm passed over the City and I capturing a bolt of lightening.

Monday, my own neighborhood was pummeled by the storm. Wind toppling some trees, while exceeding the neighborhood speed limit.

Tuesday and Wednesday was a time for clean up and sunsets of color. Finishing with a rainbow, on this night, Thursday.

As I was taking these pictures of the setting sun, I was feeling thankful for similar pictures shared on Facebook, by a friend Robin Romero. It was her posting of sunset pictures on her way home to work, that inspired me to check out the sunsets and eventually take pictures too. I dedicate this posting to her and the inspiration she has been to my looking beyond oneself and into the world in which we live. Thank you Robin.
