Thunder and lightening clear the way, for the Full Moon rise and simultaneous Total Lunar Eclipse (everywhere but North America). Watch as a plane crosses past the moon’s surface, as it dives behind the treed slopes of the Julian Alps, near Kranj Slovenia.
On Friday’s eve, 27 of August, the Sun’s setting, coincided with the full Moon’s rise, as the Earth shadow provided the full Moon the shade needed for the longest eclipse of the century. Leaving the full moon bloody red for 90 minutes, and then grey for another 90, until once again the full moon could turn to its normal yellowishness.
