Table for 1: Made Up Meal, MUM,s the word
With the nigh full Moon hovering between homes, it was time for me to make another meal, from bits and pieces on hand.
Tonight’s offering:
Surf and Turf with Pureed Potatoes Topped with Tropical/Harvest Fruits’ Gravy, infused with French Medoc 2012.
Using the wine for a marinade the Filet Mignon was infused with an assortment of fruits (Pineapple, Banana, Pear, Peach and Granny Smith Green Apple).
The Filet and Tropical/Harvest Fruits were grilled, as prawns were sautéed in garlicked butter, and potatoes pureed.
With the filet centered, prawns providing a crested topping, and a crescent of pureed potatoes hugging the center piece; the Tropical/Harvest fruits were joined with beef gravy and Medoc, wine, where they topped the pureed potatoes to complete the plate’s presentation.
So was my Made Up Moonrise Meal, for this Friday night.
