Isolated but connected

March 23 · Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Isolated But Connected

A virus connects and isolates the world one way.
Care connects yet does not isolate the world another way.

One orphan trying to help 11 orphans in Zimbabwe, Africa. A Grandaunt in the USA taking care of the young ones. A Storyographer, in isolation in Portugal. Despite the distance and isolation, they teamed up.

Chickens had been raised, with the sale of a camera, to generate money for the DreamTeam, in Victoria Falls for aiding orphans to go to school. Enough money was raised from the sale of eggs and chickens to pay for 6, but there were 11 orphans to aid. Caring needed to take it up a notch. I was not able to go to Western Union to help provide for the funds. (I am in isolation and the WU closed.)

Sharing this with a Facebook friend, not met, Lavena Lary, she volunteered to make a donation for the remaining 5, with funds sent, from halfway around the world. At the time the world is in lockdown, 11 orphans found that they were not locked out. The tuitions with pay received this day, will allow the 11 to work on their future, while the world struggles with life.

Here are the words or Petition Muchimba, the Orphan that cares for others who share her path:

Once again, allow me to thank everyone who have been of support into the DreamTeam project… Be it through financial aid support. Last year, through your help we managed to pay for 3 O level Students registration fee at Mosi Oa Tunya High school… Well as we know the economical situation that we are currently facing as the country, The Ordinary and Advanced level examination fee increased from 15 rtgs per subject to 90 rtgs excluding Stationary and centre fee hence this situation is causing a lot of drop out in most schools… The DreamTeam was privileged enough to get a sponsor from Brendon who met Petition Muchimba the founder of the DreamTeam and helped her through the chicken project that she is currently running. Therefore, as a result the Camera produced the Chicken capital leading to paying back to the community.
Ladies and Gentlemen today the DreamTeam went to pay the examination fee at Mosi Oa Tunya High School for 5 Students who are performing very well yet underprivileged to education due to the financial challenges. I would like to thank the following people for making this dream come true: Brendon from Earth Personally, sir l salute you…from the beginning you made it possible for everyone. Michelle Gapara from Bella Bright, the very person who made me believe in myself and to go after what l wanted… Emmanuel from Emmanuel taxies-we appreciate you a lot. Lavena Lary who through her big heart came at rescue to top up for the other 4 A level students that had not yet registered because of the Situation they are facing at home… Last but not least l would also like to thank the community at large for buying the chickens, Your input is much appreciated because we have accomplished our goal through your help…
