Viseisei Village Fiji.
March 5
BULA (Hello) to Fiji’s Senimili M Vuluma AKA Mily, Earth Personally’s Woman of the day for 5 March, along with her Cousin, Nikki Louise who helped me go ‘Postal’ in 2016, in Fiji. (See link below)
Mily was a good person to meet and learn from, a 6 day a week teacher. 5 days at the primary school, and tutor to students on Saturdays. Now armed with camera, Senimili captures her school, village, church and the places beyond tourism, as she encapsulates her and her culture’s heritage in photo, video and audio.
Doing this on her one free day in the week; church, school, sport, jam making, weddings and more. Even visiting an injured student in hospital.
I believe you will see what I have found in my travels, the beauty of a country is found in the culture of the people responsible for its caretaking. While Fiji has wonderful beaches to relax, with these photos by Milly, friends and family, is the Fiji within, and the souls who make it special in their way.
42 random photos, of life behind the beaches. Each with their own story to be told, by Mily and others and maybe even her own students, if they so desire. But for now a woman on the March in the month of March for Women of the World.
