Kitten on a Cool Clay Roof: A solitary kitten rests upon a roof’s red clay tiles, as we look at each other through the red of Geranium. It is not alone for much longer. Her mother arrives, they kiss, then go to the roof’s edge, where the kitten is bathed and fed. Mother with tears in eyes, must say good-bye, a kiss given, a wave from her daughter, the mother goes off to do what mother’s do. And we once again share a look through the red of Geranium. Later I returned, her mother must have too, for neither were there, but they were somewhere, hopefully together.
