Seriously, having fun

April 9, 2018 · Braga, Portugal

Life is too serious, to be taken too seriously.

I was told by parents, teachers and others, that there is no time for clowning around, yet here I find a clown with time on his hands, literally. He should know, he has the nose that knows. (Portuguese clown, Pedro Correia performing in Braga Parque)

In all seriousness, before coming to this show, I thought it was time I stopped clowning about and get serious. Find a place to settle and live a more normal life, seriously.

My thoughts now are to be serious about clowning seriously, and enjoy life while sharing its responsibilities, as the clown shares humor to those who feel responsible and can help others to enjoy life’s moments. I will take my clowning seriously and do what I can to find and share humor and insight as time permits.

Watch the clown give moments in time, to those who take the time to share time with him. As he takes them on a walk and frolic with his time machine and antics to places within, to bring humor out, and then wraps up, taking his machine with him and leaving his moment with others to take with them.

And for one girl in the audience, who has not lived too many moments, she will leave this day with a moment she will remember for here forever. A time when it was okay for her to clown around, hopefully a time that will never end for her.

When happy moments are no more, it can bring tears to the eyes of a clown, who likes to bring happiness and not sadness to others.
