Never Say Good-bye: See you later is what I say when I go away, it leaves the option to meet again. Which I did, with people met in my travels of a year ago. My reunion ended when I passed over the Himalaya’s and realized as the sun was setting and the darkness below pierced by Chinese lights below that these reumions had come to a break and now it was time for family and me.
My Reunion tour began with Carlos Rey in Juarez Mexico, we had met in Mexico City the prior year, then moved to Arizona, Califonia, Nevada and Utah for a reunion with step-daughter Sabina Erjavec who was with child, and mother/grandmother Slavica, From there I met and spent time with Bruno Pazos and Lusia Santos as I lived in a Favela and experienced life in the challenged neighborhoods of Rio de Janiero.
From there I met with two young people, from an isolated island of Madagascar and took them on their first flights as they adventured as tourist and not the obejects of tourist cameras, Franceline and her brother Jean Luc Lamour joined me for a two week adventure of their country. Led by my tour guide of last year Eric Ranivo and wife Haingo Rasoa and seeing others like Joan Andrianirina who helped with a surprise birthday party and tools for the workers, I enjoyed time with the Lamours in their cottages, and the thwir children enjoyed their time with me in hotels and resorts, And Noon Andria whose hotel provided my a sanctuary to rest between adventures,
From there I made to see 7 as I call him, or Krisjan as his grandmother Katrina Garises calls him where they live a temporary relocation camp that is now 20 years old. While was hosted by Angie Vroutjie Gomkhaises and her family for a variety of activities from sea to full moon rising, movies and mom’s house in the country,
From there it was a visit to Robert and Tshepo Cathy Abraham who assist the Bush people to retain their culture and share it with the world. I was also joined by Enock Dube Uncle of my namesake. They will host my ex-wife and best friend Melissa Sparks Murphy and her friends Gina Firman Nikkel and Sallie Knowlton next August.
From there. I went to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, where I visited Brenda Dube the waitress, who when pregnant received a tip from me for the baby, for which she named the baby for me, I got to watch Brendon take his first steps, eat his first ice cream and wrestle with crocodiles, I had time to meet friends Hildibetter Faith Musonza and monde Monde Litungi. Monde hosted me in her city of Mongu. This city being on the edge of civilization presented many challenges and opportunities, I will be working with them on retaining their culture and making others aware of it, as they help me to process my video library of cultural entertainment in 40+ countries. It is our hope their work for me, will help them to establish a local business in Mongu.
From the Baroste Plain Monde Litungi went with me to improve her photographic skills and increase her awareness of tourism, we were hosted by my Facebook follower Kanen Veeramundar who guided us on our way around Mauritius,
It was time then to return to China to meet up with friend John Devlin and then continue on to India to meet up with roof top friend Mohil Rajoriya, Girjesh Rajoria and family, Vijay Chandel and Rachna Chandel and family to celebrate Dawali,
From there I spent time with Beerma Bishnoi and the Bishnoi community who hosted me in their homes and temples and hotels from time to time, as we explored life and car for animals in Rajasthan,
The last of the Reunions, was with Tannie Baig and Murad at their B&B Tree Tops and time with Sam Singh IT Guru who gave me options for systems to help the people I had met to advance their life’s,
To all of them, I said see you later, and in the process I met many others, who someday I hope to see again. There is no finality in my world, I always like to leave open to meet again.
I will now be meeting my children, who I would never say good bye too……….I will keep on saying you seeing later until I do the last thing in the world I am going to do pass away, and then there is no rush take your time,
