As I travel, I like to snap pictures to get a moment in time. Not staged but spontaneous. Here, a girl comes to me on the passenger side of the car, as we stop to pay a road toll. With trinkets to sell, as is the case with her culture group.I turn to see her, she spots my camera to hide from it, as her culture group does. Not able to catch her in my camera I catch her in the reflection of my side view mirror, and just as it says on the mirror, ‘Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear’ In her case her attempt to disappear appears to have failed as she appears reflecting in my mirror and ergo cameras eye.
