Normally when the Sun and Moon share space they eclipse each other. Not this night, while they kept their distance, the Sun running west to hide behind the Earth’s horizon, as the Moon with its’ friend Jupiter pursued from the East. The distance they kept stretched the limits, of my panoramic shot, but did not elude it.
As dusky clouds of cotton candy/floss pink fluff frolicked in the sky so did planes, birds, the Moon and Jupiter.
Once the Sun was beyond sight, old and new friends appeared. Orion’s Belt I recognized, the Southern Cross presented itself to me for the first time. There are many stars which will become new friends as I travel beneath their light.
